Cardio Vascular Risk Assessment
A one-to-one consultation with a specialist nurse in conjunction with a doctor. This involves monitoring of blood pressure (regular and 24 hour), cholesterol and lifestyle.
Asthma Clinic
The Practice Nurse carries out Asthma Checks for the Under 8's yearly. This involves giving the child and the parents advise regarding Asthma and Inhaler Technique.
Diabetic Clinic
This clinic is held approximately every 8/10 weeks by appointment only. The Diabetic Health Nurse will meet you to discuss various aspects of both type I and type II diabetes including, diet, medication and lifestyle.
Chronic disease managment
The Structured Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Programme aims to prevent and manage patient chronic diseases. It is for all GMS patients over 18 with one or more of the following illnesses. Asthma, Type 2 Diabetes, COPD, Cardiovascular disease.
Family Planning Clinic
A full range of family planning advice for all ages is available from our suitably qualified doctors and nurses. Also advice and provision of all forms of contraception and contraceptive devices are available.
Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) Clinic
We provide a discreet and confidential screening for all STIs. The STI clinc's are by appointment only and can be carried out by male or female doctors as requested when booking an appointment.
